Overview
Gletvax 6 is a veterinary vaccine developed by Zoetis (formerly Schering-Plough Animal Health) for use in swine. It is a combined inactivated vaccine containing four *Escherichia coli* antigens (K88ab, K88ac, K99, and 987P) and purified toxoids from *Clostridium perfringens* Types B, C, and D. The vaccine is indicated for the active immunization of breeding sows and gilts to provide passive protection to their piglets via colostrum. This protection targets neonatal colibacillosis caused by *E. coli* and necrotic infectious enteritis caused by *C. perfringens*. It is typically administered as a two-dose primary course before farrowing.
