Overview

**GLH1SM** is an oral extended-release fixed-dose combination tablet containing **sitagliptin 100 mg** and **metformin 1,000 mg**. It was developed by GL Pharm Tech as a proposed sitagliptin/metformin extended-release product and was evaluated in randomized single-dose crossover pharmacokinetic studies in healthy volunteers under fasting and fed conditions against Janumet XR. Sitagliptin selectively inhibits dipeptidyl peptidase-4, increasing endogenous incretin activity, while metformin reduces hepatic glucose production and improves insulin sensitivity.
