Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Glialia microgranuli is a food for special medical purposes (medical food/nutraceutical) developed by Epitech Group SpA. It is a fixed-dose combination of palmitoylethanolamide (PEA, 700 mg) and luteolin (70 mg) in a co-ultramicronized form known as the ultramicrocomposite PEALUT®. Glialia microgranuli is administered orally via the sublingual route and is indicated for the dietary management of neuroinflammatory processes associated with central nervous system disorders. These include transient ischemic attacks (TIA), post-ischemic stroke states, post-traumatic CNS conditions, mild cognitive decline, early-stage dementia, early-stage Parkinsonism, inflammatory demyelinating diseases, motor neuron diseases, and mood disorders. The active ingredients act synergistically to modulate non-neuronal cells involved in neuroinflammation, specifically microglia, astrocytes, and mast cells, thereby exerting neuroprotective effects.
