Glimecare-M1 Forte

Glimecare-M1 Forte is a fixed-dose combination pharmaceutical product containing two oral antihyperglycemic agents: glimepiride (1 mg) and metformin (1000 mg). Developed and manufactured by Apgar Pharmaceuticals, it is indicated for the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus. Glimepiride is a third-generation sulfonylurea that stimulates insulin secretion from pancreatic beta cells by binding to and blocking ATP-sensitive potassium channels (specifically the SUR1 subunit).
