Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Glodent is a whitening toothpaste developed by Group Pharmaceutical, primarily marketed in India. It utilizes a non-abrasive, enzymatic whitening mechanism featuring papain and bromelain, which are proteolytic enzymes derived from papaya and pineapple, respectively. These enzymes work by breaking down the protein pellicle on the tooth surface, which helps in removing extrinsic stains without damaging the enamel. The formulation also contains sodium monofluorophosphate to provide fluoride for enamel remineralization and caries prevention, as well as herbal extracts like Meswak and Neem for gum health maintenance.
