Overview

GLP-DerMap is a preclinical-stage, polymer-free dissolving microneedle patch designed for the transdermal delivery of glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonists. Developed by ArrayPatch, a spin-out from University College Cork, the platform utilizes a patented technology where the microneedles are composed entirely of the active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) in an amorphous state, allowing for high drug loading without the need for stabilizing polymers. The patch is designed to provide a pain-free, convenient alternative to subcutaneous injections for the treatment of obesity and type 2 diabetes.
