GLPG3221 is a novel C2 corrector molecule being developed by Galapagos in collaboration with AbbVie for the treatment of cystic fibrosis (CF). It is designed to correct the function of the faulty cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) protein, specifically targeting class 2 mutations, and is intended to be part of a triple combination therapy alongside a C1 corrector and a potentiator. This investigational therapy aims to restore healthy chloride transport in patients with CF, particularly those with the F508del mutation.
