Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Glucemedin is a multi-ingredient dietary supplement developed by NutriMed Group, primarily indicated for the management of blood glucose levels in individuals with type 2 diabetes mellitus or metabolic syndrome. It is formulated with standardized herbal extracts, including Gymnema sylvestre, Momordica charantia (bitter melon), and Cinnamomum cassia (cinnamon). The mechanism of action involves the synergistic effects of its components: Gymnema sylvestre contains gymnemic acids that may reduce intestinal glucose absorption and enhance insulin secretion; Momordica charantia contains charantin and polypeptide-p, which mimic insulin activity; and Cinnamomum cassia improves insulin sensitivity by enhancing glucose uptake in peripheral tissues.
