Glucoprime

Glucoprime (GLYC-101) is a topical gel formulation of glucose developed by TR Therapeutics for the treatment of partial-thickness wounds. The therapeutic rationale is based on the observation that migrating epithelial cells and fibroblasts require significant metabolic energy during the wound healing process. By providing a concentrated, exogenous source of glucose directly to the wound site, Glucoprime supports cellular proliferation and migration, thereby accelerating re-epithelialization. It has been primarily evaluated in Phase 2 clinical trials for promoting healing following CO2 laser skin resurfacing procedures, where it aims to reduce the duration of erythema and improve recovery times. The formulation is typically applied as a 0.1% or 1.0% gel to the affected area.
