Glutapak R is a specialized enteral nutrition supplement developed and marketed by Megalabs. It is a combination product consisting of 10 grams of L-glutamine and 100 million CFU of the probiotic Lactobacillus reuteri strain DSM 17.938. L-glutamine serves as a vital energy source for enterocytes, supporting the repair and maintenance of the intestinal mucosal barrier. Lactobacillus reuteri helps restore the balance of the gut microbiota and may modulate the intestinal immune response. The product is indicated for the dietary management of various gastrointestinal conditions, including diarrhea, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), and gastrointestinal side effects associated with chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
