GLV-2b372 is a recombinant oncolytic vaccinia virus derived from the wild-type Lister strain, developed by Genelux Corporation. It is engineered to selectively infect, replicate within, and induce lysis in malignant cells while sparing healthy tissue. The virus incorporates light-emitting reporter genes, allowing for the non-invasive monitoring of viral biodistribution and tumor targeting through molecular imaging. Preclinical evaluations in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) models have demonstrated significant viral replication and potent anti-tumor activity, resulting in substantial tumor growth inhibition and cell death.
