**Glycophosphopeptical** is a compound composed of a phosphorylated glucomannan polysaccharide (derived from *Candida utilis* yeast) complexed with a protein fraction (from *Ricinus communis*, specifically RicC3 protein) in a 5:1 ratio (polysaccharide:protein). It functions as an immunomodulator and is primarily marketed as the product Immunoferon. Glycophosphopeptical has been studied for its ability to stimulate Th1 lymphocytes, enhance cell-mediated immunity, and reduce eosinophilic inflammation. Its immunomodulatory properties have led to applications as an adjuvant in infectious respiratory diseases (including viral infections like influenza and potentially COVID-19), chronic bronchitis, certain allergies (including asthma, allergic rhinitis, conjunctivitis, urticaria, and laryngeal edema), oncology, secondary immunodeficiency, and as an adjuvant to vaccines. It has been shown to increase the activity of natural killer cells and the interferon response, restore cellular immunity, and reduce symptom burden in certain allergic and respiratory conditions. Glycophosphopeptical is available as an oral pharmaceutical (capsules, tablets, liquid) and possibly also as parenteral, topical, or vaginal preparations.
