Overview

Glytuzumab is a humanized monoclonal antibody developed by GlyTherix Ltd that targets Glypican-1 (GPC-1), a cell-surface heparan sulfate proteoglycan. GPC-1 is significantly overexpressed in various solid tumors, including prostate, pancreatic, bladder, and esophageal cancers, as well as glioblastoma, while showing limited expression in normal adult tissues. As the humanized successor to the chimeric antibody Miltuximab, glytuzumab is designed to minimize potential immunogenicity in patients while maintaining high binding affinity and specificity for GPC-1. The program is currently in the lead optimization and selection phase, with the goal of progressing to GMP manufacturing and clinical trials for the treatment of GPC-1-positive malignancies.
