Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A combination chemotherapy regimen consisting of granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF), carboplatin, mitomycin C, and vinorelbine. This regimen was developed for the treatment of advanced non-small cell lung carcinoma (NSCLC). The combination was chosen based on the known activity of these agents in NSCLC and their potential drug synergism without overlapping non-hematologic toxicities. GM-CSF is included specifically to prevent or counteract neutropenia, which is the anticipated dose-limiting toxicity.
