Drug intelligence / Profile preview
GM300 is a biologic drug candidate being developed by GlycoMantra for the treatment of lung fibrosis and idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). As part of GlycoMantra's pipeline of glyco-biologics, GM300 is designed to target Galectin-3, a carbohydrate-binding protein that plays a central role in the development of tissue fibrosis by mediating fibroblast activation and extracellular matrix remodeling. By antagonizing Galectin-3, GM300 aims to disrupt the pathological processes underlying IPF and other fibrotic lung conditions. The candidate is currently in the early stages of development.
