Overview

GME751 is a proposed biosimilar to pembrolizumab (Keytruda), developed by Sandoz. It is a monoclonal antibody that targets programmed cell death protein 1 (PD‑1), functioning as an immune checkpoint inhibitor. By binding to PD‑1 on T cells, it blocks the interaction with its ligands PD-L1 and PD-L2, thereby enhancing T-cell mediated immune responses against tumor cells. GME751 is being developed for indications where pembrolizumab is approved, including metastatic non-small cell lung cancer and melanoma. Clinical trials are ongoing to demonstrate pharmacokinetic similarity, efficacy, safety, and immunogenicity compared with Keytruda[1][2][3][4][5][6].
