GMFFP (Granulocyte-Colony Stimulating Factor Mobilized Fresh Frozen Plasma) is an investigational blood-derived biologic therapy developed by Dr. Dipnarine Maharaj at the Maharaj Institute of Immune Regenerative Medicine. The product is composed of fresh frozen plasma harvested from young, healthy donors (aged 18-35) who have been pre-treated with G-CSF to mobilize hematopoietic stem cells, progenitor cells, and a variety of regenerative cytokines and growth factors from the bone marrow into the peripheral blood. This enriched plasma is then administered via transfusion to older, frail individuals. The therapeutic objective is to ameliorate frailty and reverse age-related physiological decline by replenishing systemic factors that rejuvenate the immune system, improve cognitive function, and enhance the overall quality of life, effectively targeting the 'Immune Risk Profile' associated with unhealthy aging.
