GMI

GMI is an immunomodulatory protein derived from the mushroom Ganoderma microsporum, developed through decades of biotechnology research in Taiwan. It is recognized for its potential anti-cancer, neuroprotective, and immunomodulatory properties. Research has shown that GMI can suppress various cancer cell types—including drug-resistant and cancer stem cells—enhance the effectiveness of chemotherapy and targeted therapies, reduce cytokine storms during severe infections, promote chronic wound healing, and repair neurons in the brain. It has been listed as a food ingredient by Taiwan FDA (2022), completed GRAS review by US FDA (2021), registered as a new dietary ingredient with the US FDA (2020), and included in cosmetic ingredient databases. Studies have demonstrated its safety profile even at small doses[5].
