Overview

GMI-1271 + filgrastim is a **combination therapy** evaluated for its ability to mobilize and enrich progenitor T cells, particularly T memory stem (Tscm) and T central memory (Tcm) cells, which have improved reconstitution and persistence and are considered beneficial for adoptive cell therapy and potential cancer immunotherapies[1]. GMI-1271 (uproleselan) is a novel, proprietary **E-selectin antagonist** that blocks adhesion of white blood cells and cancer cells to the endothelium, thereby enhancing chemotherapy efficacy and disrupting cell survival pathways.[1][3][4][5][6] Filgrastim is a recombinant human **granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF)** used to mobilize hematopoietic cells and treat neutropenia. The combination has been evaluated in Phase 1 clinical studies (and preclinical mouse models) for mobilizing CD8+ T cells and various white blood cell subsets, with aims for application in **hematologic malignancies** and adoptive T cell therapies[1].
