Overview

GNKG-168 is a synthetic CpG oligodeoxynucleotide that acts as an agonist of Toll-like receptor 9 (TLR9). It is designed to stimulate the immune system by binding to and activating TLR9, which leads to the activation of multiple intracellular signaling pathways and the release of various cytokines such as immunoglobulins, interferons, and interleukins. This immune activation includes immediate natural killer (NK) cell responses followed by adaptive T and B cell responses that may contribute to anti-leukemia immunity. GNKG-168 was developed primarily for hematologic malignancies including acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), acute myeloid leukemia (AML), and chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). The drug was administered intravenously in clinical trials but has not received regulatory approval. Its development status is discontinued after reaching phase 1 clinical trials[1][2][3][4][5][6][7].
