GNR-051 is a monoclonal antibody that targets the programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) receptor on T lymphocytes and other immune cells. By binding to PD-1, it blocks the interaction with its ligands PD-L1 and PD-L2, thereby inhibiting a key immune checkpoint pathway that suppresses antitumor immune responses. This blockade reactivates tumor-specific cytotoxic T lymphocytes within the tumor microenvironment, enhancing antitumor immunity. Developed by Generium (AO GENERIUM), GNR-051 is being investigated primarily for advanced malignancies, including melanoma, non-small-cell lung cancer, and renal cell carcinoma. Its highest development phase as of April 2025 is Phase 1[1][2][3][4].
