GNR-093 is a biosimilar monoclonal antibody developed by **AO Generium** that targets **α4-integrin** (CD49d). It is designed as a biosimilar to the reference product **Tysabri** (natalizumab). The antibody works by binding to the α4 subunit of α4β1 (VLA-4) and α4β7 integrins, which are expressed on the surface of most leukocytes. By blocking the interaction between these integrins and their ligands, such as vascular cell adhesion molecule-1 (VCAM-1) on vascular endothelial cells, GNR-093 inhibits the adhesion and transmigration of inflammatory cells across the blood-brain barrier into the central nervous system. This mechanism reduces neuroinflammation and the formation of new lesions in patients with **Multiple Sclerosis**. GNR-093 has been evaluated in Phase 3 clinical trials to demonstrate therapeutic equivalence to the reference natalizumab in patients with highly active relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis (RRMS).
