Overview

GNR-127 is a recombinant vaccine developed as a form of allergen immunotherapy for the prevention of allergy to birch pollen in patients with allergic rhinitis. The vaccine contains the ABP antigen protein, which is composed of hypoallergenic peptides from Bet v 1 (the major birch allergen) and Mal d 1 (an apple allergen), fused to the PreS protein from hepatitis B virus as an immunogenic carrier. The therapy is designed for subcutaneous administration and aims to induce a specific immune response to reduce allergic sensitization and symptoms. The investigational drug is being studied in a two-stage phase 1/2 clinical trial for safety, efficacy, and immunogenicity in patients sensitized to birch pollen[1]. There is preclinical or early clinical evidence suggesting its development for anaphylaxis and other immune system diseases[10].
