GnRH-Minia University-infertility refers to the gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) antagonist utilized in clinical research at Minia University for the treatment of infertility. Specifically, it is employed in a short antagonist protocol for women undergoing Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI) who are predicted to be poor responders to standard ovarian stimulation. The drug functions by competitively binding to GnRH receptors in the anterior pituitary, which rapidly suppresses the release of endogenous gonadotropins, specifically luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH).
