Overview

The GnRH pharmaccine is a synthetic peptide-based biologic designed to mimic gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH). It is chemically bound to a carrier and delivered via intramuscular injection in a proprietary delivery vehicle. The vaccine induces an immune response that generates antibodies against endogenous GnRH, effectively neutralizing it and removing it from circulation. This immunological blockade of GnRH suppresses the production of testosterone by the testes, which is critical for the growth and progression of prostate cancer. The approach aims to achieve reversible hormonal castration, as opposed to permanent surgical castration, for the treatment of both early-stage and metastatic prostate cancer[1].
