Overview

GNUV101 is a small molecule inhibitor of MEK1 and MEK2 (MEK1/2) being developed by Genuv Inc. for the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases. Unlike repurposed MEK inhibitors, GNUV101 is a new chemical entity designed to leverage the role of the MEK/ERK signaling pathway in neural stem cell differentiation. The drug's mechanism of action involves promoting neurogenesis and providing neuroprotection by inducing the differentiation of neural stem cells into functional neurons and protecting existing neurons from damage. As of recent reports, the compound is in the preclinical stage of development, with Genuv exploring its potential across various neurodegenerative conditions.
