Overview

GNX102 is a humanized IgG1 monoclonal antibody developed by GlycoNex. It targets tumor-associated carbohydrate antigens (TACAs), specifically the Lewis B (LeB) and Lewis Y (LeY) glycans, which are abnormally expressed on the surface of various cancer cells. By binding to these novel tumor-associated glycans, GNX102 inhibits tumor growth primarily through Fc-mediated mechanisms such as antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC). The drug has demonstrated strong tumor-suppressing activity in preclinical xenograft models of stomach and colorectal cancers and shows reactivity to a wide spectrum of cancer types including colon, stomach, lung, bladder, and pancreas. Clinical phase 1 studies have shown that GNX102 has an excellent safety profile with promising efficacy. An antibody-drug conjugate version (GNX102-ADC) is also in development for advanced gastrointestinal cancers[1][2][4][5][6].
