GO-2301 is a small molecule therapeutic candidate developed by General Oncology. It is designed to bind irreversibly within the DNA helix, a mechanism that traps cells in the M phase of the cell cycle and induces terminal proliferation arrest. The drug is currently in the IND-enabling stage of development. Its primary indications include proliferative retinopathy, wet age-related macular degeneration (wet AMD), and diabetic retinopathy, as well as applications in oncology. By targeting the fundamental process of cell division, GO-2301 aims to address diseases characterized by pathological cellular proliferation.
