Overview

Gocatamig is a tri-specific T-cell engager immunotherapy designed to treat cancers by redirecting the patient’s own immune system to target and destroy tumor cells. It specifically binds to delta-like ligand 3 (DLL3), CD3ε on T-cells, and albumin. By engaging DLL3 on tumor cells and CD3ε on T-cells, it brings these cells into close proximity, activating cytotoxic T-cell responses against DLL3-expressing cancer cells. Albumin binding extends its half-life in circulation. Gocatamig is being developed primarily for small cell lung cancer (SCLC) and neuroendocrine tumors that have relapsed or are refractory to prior treatments. The drug was originally developed by Harpoon Therapeutics and is now co-developed with Daiichi Sankyo; Merck Sharp & Dohme has also been involved in clinical development[2][3][4]. It is administered intravenously[4]. Gocatamig has received orphan drug designation for SCLC[3].
