Godex

Godex is a hepatoprotective combination drug primarily used for the treatment of various liver disorders, including non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), chronic hepatitis, and liver cirrhosis. It is a multi-ingredient formulation typically composed of carnitine orotate, hepatic extract (antitoxic liver extract), adenosine, and B-vitamins including pyridoxine (B6), riboflavin (B2), and cyanocobalamin (B12). The drug's mechanism of action is multifaceted: carnitine facilitates the transport of long-chain fatty acids into the mitochondria for beta-oxidation, thereby reducing lipid accumulation in hepatocytes; orotic acid serves as a precursor for pyrimidine nucleotide synthesis, supporting DNA and RNA production for liver regeneration; and the B-vitamins act as essential cofactors for various metabolic enzymes.
