Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Goldiron** is an oral multivitamin and mineral supplement marketed by Gold Line. It is formulated as a fixed-dose combination of sodium feredetate (a highly bioavailable source of elemental iron), folic acid (Vitamin B9), and cyanocobalamin (Vitamin B12). Goldiron is primarily indicated for the prevention and treatment of iron deficiency anemia, nutritional deficiencies, and megaloblastic anemia, particularly during periods of increased physiological demand such as pregnancy and lactation. Sodium feredetate provides iron to support hemoglobin synthesis and oxygen transport. Folic acid and cyanocobalamin act as essential cofactors in DNA synthesis, cell division, and red blood cell maturation, while also supporting neurological health.
