Overview

Golvatinib is an investigational small molecule receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitor. It primarily targets the MET (hepatocyte growth factor receptor) and VEGFR2 (vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2) pathways, both of which are implicated in tumor angiogenesis and cancer cell proliferation. Golvatinib was developed for the treatment of various solid tumors, including gastric cancer and head and neck squamous cell carcinoma. The drug was originally developed by Eisai.
