Gonadotropins-IBSA

Gonadotropins-IBSA is an IBSA investigational subcutaneous gonadotropin preparation being evaluated for pharmacokinetics and dose proportionality of follicle-stimulating hormone and human chorionic gonadotropin in pituitary down-regulated women. The follicle-stimulating hormone component promotes ovarian follicular development through the follicle-stimulating hormone receptor, while human chorionic gonadotropin provides luteinizing hormone-like activity through the luteinizing hormone/chorionic gonadotropin receptor to support follicular maturation and ovulation-related processes. Registered Phase 1 studies have evaluated both single-dose and multiple-dose administration in infertility and ovarian-stimulation contexts.
