Govenercept

Govenercept (SHR-1802) is a recombinant human interleukin-17 receptor A (IL-17RA) extracellular domain-Fc fusion protein developed by Jiangsu Hengrui Pharmaceuticals. It functions as a decoy receptor that binds with high affinity to interleukin-17A (IL-17A) and interleukin-17F (IL-17F), as well as the IL-17A/F heterodimer. By sequestering these pro-inflammatory cytokines, Govenercept prevents their binding to the endogenous IL-17 receptor complex, thereby inhibiting the downstream signaling pathways that drive inflammation in autoimmune and respiratory diseases. It is primarily being investigated for the treatment of moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis and is categorized within the immunological and respiratory therapeutic areas of the developer's pipeline.
