The vaccine has primarily been explored in clinical trials for melanoma, often in combination with mRNA encoding other melanoma-associated antigens, and sometimes as part of dendritic cell-based vaccine approaches or formulated with immunostimulatory molecules like CD40L, CD70, and TLR4. Trials have included both "naked" mRNA (buffer formulation) and more advanced protamine or Lipoplex/LNP formulations.
