Overview

GPC3-targeted CAR T cells are an autologous cellular immunotherapy designed to target Glypican-3 (GPC3), a cell-surface oncofetal antigen frequently overexpressed in various solid tumors, including hepatocellular carcinoma, lung cancer, and gastric cancer. These cells are typically engineered using lentiviral vectors to express a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) that recognizes GPC3, allowing the T cells to selectively bind to and eliminate GPC3-positive tumor cells. In the context of the Renji Hospital study (ChiCTR-OPN-16009943), these cells are being evaluated for safety and pharmacokinetics in patients with relapsed or refractory lung, gastric, and breast cancers.
