GPC3-targeting CAR-T is an investigational chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy being developed by Innovative Cellular Therapeutics (also known as Shanghai Si Dan Race BioTechnology) for the treatment of liver cancer (hepatocellular carcinoma). The therapy is designed using the company's proprietary CoupledCAR platform technology, which combines GPC3-targeting CAR-T cells with CD19-targeting CAR-T cells. This dual-targeting approach is designed to overcome the immunosuppressive microenvironment of solid tumors; the CD19 CAR-T cells target and eliminate host B cells, triggering an immune response and cytokine release that promotes the expansion, infiltration, and persistence of the GPC3-targeting CAR-T cells within the tumor. The candidate is currently in the IND-enabling stage of development.
