Drug intelligence / Profile preview
GPN00204 is an oral enteric-coated capsule containing a standardized mixture of essential oil distillates, specifically eucalyptol (1,8-cineole), limonene, and alpha-pinene. Developed by Beijing Yuanda Jiuhua Pharmaceutical, a subsidiary of China Grand Pharmaceutical, it is designed for the treatment of respiratory tract inflammations such as acute and chronic rhinosinusitis and bronchitis. The drug functions as a mucolytic, secretolytic, and secretomotor agent, thinning respiratory secretions and enhancing ciliary clearance to facilitate the removal of mucus. It also exhibits anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. GPN00204 is currently in Phase 1 clinical development in China, where its safety and pharmacokinetics are being compared to existing standardized myrtol products.
