GPRC5D-CD19 CAR T is a chimeric antigen receptor T-cell therapy that targets both GPRC5D (G protein-coupled receptor class C group 5 member D) and CD19 proteins. This dual-targeting approach is designed to treat relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma (RRMM), particularly in patients who have progressed after previous BCMA-targeted therapies. The therapy involves engineering a patient's own T cells to express receptors that can recognize and attack cancer cells expressing GPRC5D and CD19 proteins. This bispecific approach may provide additional benefit for myeloma patients who have failed or progressed on single-target therapies.
