GPRC5D-CD19 CAR T is an investigational dual-target chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy developed by Guangdong Second Provincial General Hospital. It is designed to simultaneously target G protein-coupled receptor, class C, group 5, member D (GPRC5D), an orphan receptor highly expressed on malignant plasma cells, and CD19, a B-cell surface antigen. By targeting two distinct antigens, the therapy aims to overcome antigen escape and improve efficacy in patients with relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma. It is currently being evaluated in an early phase 1 clinical trial (NCT06298266) to assess safety, tolerability, and initial efficacy.
