Overview

GQ1005 is an innovative anti-HER2 antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) developed by GeneQuantum Healthcare. It consists of an engineered trastuzumab antibody targeting HER2 (human epidermal growth factor receptor 2), conjugated to a topoisomerase I inhibitor payload (DXd) via a highly stable linker using a site-specific conjugation platform. The drug is designed to inhibit the proliferation of HER2-expressing tumor cells and induces a bystander effect that further kills neighboring tumor cells. Preclinical studies have shown that GQ1005 has antitumor efficacy comparable to trastuzumab deruxtecan (Enhertu), with improved stability and reduced toxicity. As of 2024, it is in phase III clinical trials for the treatment of HER2-positive unresectable or metastatic breast cancer[1][3][4][5].
