Overview

GRAM INN is a dietary supplement developed and marketed by the Serbian company INNventa Pharm, specifically formulated for the management and prevention of urinary tract infections (UTIs). The product contains a synergistic combination of D-mannose and cranberry (Vaccinium macrocarpon) fruit extract, often supplemented with Vitamin C (ascorbic acid). Its primary mechanism of action involves the competitive inhibition of bacterial adhesion to the urothelium. D-mannose binds to the FimH adhesins of Type 1 fimbriae on uropathogenic *Escherichia coli* (UPEC), while cranberry proanthocyanidins (PACs) target P-fimbriae. By preventing these bacteria from anchoring to the bladder wall, the supplement facilitates their clearance from the urinary tract during urination. GRAM INN is available in multiple formulations, including standard capsules, a high-dose 'Forte' sachet version, and suppositories for vaginal or rectal use to prevent localized bacterial colonization.
