GranaGard

GranaGard is a neuroprotective nutraceutical formulation containing a high concentration of punicic acid (Omega-5), a polyunsaturated fatty acid derived from pomegranate seed oil. Developed by Granalix BioTechnologies, the product utilizes a patented self-emulsifying drug delivery system (SEDDS) to create a nano-emulsion that enhances the bioavailability of punicic acid and facilitates its passage across the blood-brain barrier. Once in the brain, punicic acid is converted into conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), which exerts potent antioxidant effects by scavenging reactive oxygen species and inhibiting lipid peroxidation in neuronal membranes.
