Grape seed procyanidins (also known as grape seed proanthocyanidins or grape seed extract) are a mixture of polyphenolic compounds, primarily oligomeric proanthocyanidins (OPCs), extracted from the seeds of *Vitis vinifera*. They possess potent antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and free radical scavenging properties. In South Korea, a standardized grape seed extract is marketed under the brand name Entelon by Hanlim Pharmaceutical for the treatment of symptoms related to venous lymphatic insufficiency and non-proliferative diabetic retinopathy. Additionally, grape seed procyanidins have been widely studied in preclinical models for their potential chemopreventive and therapeutic effects in various cancers (such as breast, liver, and lung cancers) and secondary lymphedema, where they have been shown to inhibit cell proliferation, induce apoptosis, and improve lymphatic drainage.
