GRB-H is a $\lambda$-carrageenan-enriched sulfated hybrid galactan isolated from the marine red alga *Gigartina radula*. It is a complex polysaccharide composed of $\kappa$-, $\iota$-, $\mu$-, $\nu$-, and $\lambda$-carrageenan structural units. GRB-H is being investigated as a marine-derived candidate for the topical management of atopic dermatitis (AD). Its therapeutic potential is driven by coordinated local anti-inflammatory and systemic immunomodulatory actions. In preclinical models, GRB-H has demonstrated the ability to suppress pro-inflammatory cytokines, reduce nitric oxide (NO) production, lower serum IgE levels, and restore the Th1/Th2 immune balance. Topical application has been shown to ameliorate skin inflammation, epidermal hyperplasia, and dermal immune cell infiltration in murine models of AD.
