Greenplast Q

Greenplast Q is a human-derived fibrin sealant (fibrin glue) developed by GC Biopharma and evaluated by Seoul National University Hospital for the prevention of iatrogenic ulcer bleeding. It is a combination product containing human fibrinogen concentrate, human thrombin, aprotinin (a fibrinolysis inhibitor), and calcium chloride. When applied topically to a wound or surgical site, the thrombin converts the fibrinogen into fibrin, creating a stable clot that mimics the final stage of the natural coagulation cascade. This provides immediate hemostasis and supports tissue sealing. In clinical trials, it is specifically being evaluated for its efficacy in reducing post-procedural bleeding in high-risk patients undergoing endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) for gastric neoplasms.
