Drug intelligence / Profile preview
The Greffex Lyme vaccine is a preclinical vaccine candidate developed using the company's proprietary Clean Ad adenoviral vector platform. This platform utilizes helper-dependent adenoviral vectors that are engineered to be devoid of all viral genes, which aims to minimize inflammatory responses and allow for the delivery of large genetic payloads. The vaccine is designed to prevent Lyme disease, caused by the bacterium *Borrelia burgdorferi*, by inducing an immune response against specific bacterial antigens. As of recent reports, the candidate is in the preclinical stages of development with plans to transition into clinical trials.
