Overview

GREVAX H5N1 is an adenoviral vector-based vaccine developed by Greffex in collaboration with the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) for the prevention of H5N1 avian influenza. The vaccine utilizes the proprietary Clean Ad platform, which features a fully deleted, helper-independent adenoviral vector. By removing all viral genes (E1, E2, E3, and E4), the platform minimizes anti-vector immunity and provides significant genetic space for the H5N1 hemagglutinin (HA) antigen. This approach is designed to induce both robust neutralizing antibody titers and cellular immune responses. The vaccine is intended for rapid production in response to pandemic threats and has been evaluated in Phase 1/2 clinical trials.
