Overview

**Grippol** is a line of inactivated subunit influenza vaccines, including the trivalent **Grippol Plus** and quadrivalent **Grippol Quadrivalent**, developed by Petrovax for seasonal flu prevention. Each dose contains 5 µg hemagglutinin from relevant influenza A (H1N1, H3N2) and B strains (Victoria/Yamagata for quadrivalent), updated annually per WHO northern hemisphere recommendations, combined with 500 µg **azoximer bromide** (Polyoxidonium®), a synthetic immunomodulator adjuvant that enhances antigen immunogenicity, stabilizes antigens, stimulates immune memory, reduces required antigen dose by 3-fold, and improves safety by minimizing reactogenicity. Administered intramuscularly or subcutaneously, it induces protective antibodies in 75-95% of recipients within 8-12 days, lasting up to 12 months, even in high-risk groups like children ≥6 months, elderly, pregnant women (II/III trimester), immunocompromised, and those with chronic diseases; contraindicated in egg allergy or acute illness.[1][2][3][4]
