Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Grippostad Complex is an over-the-counter combination medication developed by STADA Arzneimittel for the symptomatic treatment of rhinosinusitis, pain, and fever associated with the common cold and flu-like symptoms. It contains acetylsalicylic acid (ASA), which acts as an analgesic, antipyretic, and anti-inflammatory agent by inhibiting prostaglandin G/H synthase 1 (COX-1) and 2 (COX-2), and pseudoephedrine hydrochloride, a nasal decongestant that acts as an agonist on alpha- and beta-adrenergic receptors to reduce nasal mucosal swelling. The product is formulated as granules for oral suspension and is intended for adults and adolescents aged 16 years and older.
